In this post, I am going to briefly share with you the pattern of the Rich Mindset that can help you get started on Financial Literacy. In the process, I am going to clarify the issues around MONEY, the major element that is being used to qualify the word RICH….
As we grew up, there are certain misconceptions we inherited which contributed to the Poor Mindset. Perhaps, the strongest of such is the belief that “Money is evil, therefore, it is evil to be rich”. That could be true if you see Money as a an Adjective that qualifies the rich instead of the PRODUCT of a Rich Mindset.
As far as my Bible is concerned, MONEY AIN’T EVIL, it’s the LOVE (addiction, greed, covetousness, selfishness) of money that is evil (1 Tim. 6:10)… I think it would help if you learn to see money from a perspective different from those pieces of paper in your wallet. The cash you see is only a measure of value. The real Money exists in your head in the form of IDEAS. It is your ability to harness these ideas and create value that solves peoples’ problems that will attract paper money to you as a reward that you can use in solving your own problems.
The problem starts when one goes all out chasing after paper Money. When this happens, there is a misplaced priority somewhere and such a person doomed to become a SLAVE of money.
The earlier you understand this concept, the sooner you’re going to achieve Financial Freedom. I want to keep it brief. For clarity, watch out for my subsequent post on MINDSHIFT.
