FINTEL Frank Talk – DAY 9 of 10

GIVE MORE & EXPECT LESS

===================================

Whew!

It’s been 9 long but exciting days into the first ever Frank Talk event on Financial Intelligence and I am glad that we are going to be able to finally bring this to a beautiful end tomorrow.

However, before we end, I feel obliged to reveal to you the hidden secret of 7-figure income earners just as I promised in the adverts.

By the time we are done with the talk today, you will be able to think like a Billionaire which is an essential step to becoming one.

When you hear the word, “billionaire”, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?

Perhaps you see them as demigods or superhumans who were born into the right family at the right time or who are fortunate to be bountifully favoured by nature.

Hehehehe. Sorry to say, those notions are either childhood fairy tales or excuses the poor use to justify their mediocrity mindset. So it would be great to let go of them right now and embrace the truths I am going to share with you below:

✔ Billionaires are normal human beings like you that discovered their inbuilt talent and were bold enough to put in the hard work required to develop, multiply and profit from these talents.

✔ Billionaires are normal human beings like you that got dissatisfied with the status quo and not only identified the pressing challenges of their time but also immediately sought ways to improve the livelihood of man. When they discovered the solution, people were willing and happy to pay them a fortune in exchange for the solution.

✔ Billionaires are normal people that have been able to develop what I call the Abundance Mindset. They are always willing to serve, willing to communicate and ‘ready to distribute’ in other to put smiles on the faces of people, in spite of themselves (1st Timothy 6:17-19).

BILLIONAIRES GIVE MORE THAN YOU THINK

Are you aware that Billionaire Bill Gates along with Warren Buffet and a lot more of other world billionaires are part of what is called “the Giving Pledge”? The Billionaires have pledged in their lifetime to give back more than half of their wealth to charity.

Giving, the Surest Path to Wealth” is a blog post I wrote two months ago when Bill Gates quickly overtook Jeff Bezos to reclaim his position as the world’s richest man within 4 hours.

In the article, I carefully outlined the few factors that contribute to make Bill the billionaire he is today. The dominant factor was/is Bill Gate’s implicit obedience to the Law of Giving.

We live in a principled world that is governed by the laws of nature and commandments of God. Obey them and reap the benefit. Discard them at your own peril.

One of such laws is “the Law of Giving” which states that the more you give of yourself without expectation of return, the more that will come back to you. If you help enough people get what they want in life, you will also have what you want.

This is also in line with the biblical principle of Luke 6:38 – “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again”.

This portion of the Bible is more than just a commandment, it is a promise.

This “giving attitude” is what differentiates poor people from rich people.

People with the Rich Mindset are prone to see a world of abundance and a surplus of opportunities. Hence, they don’t hesitate to share their wealth with people in need, knowing that the universe will find a way to repay their good will double fold.

Poor folks, on the other hand, believe and do the exact opposite – which explains why it is difficult for them to have a financial breakthrough despite their long hours of prayers, fasting and hard work.

WE LIVE IN A WORLD OF SUPER ABUNDANCE

The United Nations did a study in the year 2000 which attempted to calculate the known wealth deposits in the world which include all natural and human resources, and they achieved a certain amount…..

That amount was further divided by the population of the world as at then being about 6 billion people. What they found out was a whopping figure of $180,000 per person.

In other words, if the wealth of this world were to be divided and given to every living person on earth, everyone would be entitled to not less than $180,000… ??

That is equivalent to about N66 Million in the Nigerian currency. If you ask me, that is a whooping sum of money more than enough to sustain you a lifetime, if properly used.

I believe you can now begin to imagine it when the Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 3:20, “Now unto him that is able to do EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY ABOVE all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”. Most of us read and proclaim this portion every time but cannot fathom and apply its implications.

The Psalmist also proclaimed, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” (Psalm 24:1).

But why is it that this great wealth is not evenly distributed?

Why are some people poor and some rich? Why do you have to fight to grab your share of the world’s cake?

Well….. This is because of another important law of nature – you reap what you sow.

It takes hours of smart work and financial intelligence on the part of the rich to know how to create and multiply their wealth on autopilot. This is what the poor are either too lazy or reluctant to learn, hence their financial bondage.

HACK YOUR SCARCITY MINDSET

Let’s do a little exercise…

I want you to close your eyes and imagine yourself in a world with no limitations. A world where you have enough and to spare to eat, drink, clothe yourself; a world where you don’t have any need whatsoever because they have all been met; a world where your worth is not limited to a paycheck or paid commission for work done; a world where everything is possible.

Can you visualize it?

Now, open your eyes and tell yourself these words……, “I live in great abundance. Everything I ever need to succeed in life is within my reach. There is a surplus of resources, connections and networks that I can leverage on to achieve my dreams. I have so much untapped value invested in me. I lack nothing”.

If you can do this exercise for one week, first thing in the morning before getting out of bed, you will have a renewed outlook on life and unlock for yourself a brand new world of limitless opportunities for Wealth Creation.

Many people are poor today because they in their minds they believe they live in a world of scarcity, a world where they are too unlucky to have a fair share in the some ‘predestined random distribution of wealth’.

This fixed mindset is the yoke from which poverty originates. It is very dangerous to your finances. You need to hack and burn it before it consumes you.

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

In conclusion, GIVING is a noble act carried out by people with noble minds. You don’t have to wait until you become a millionaire before you can learn to give. Start with the little you have.

Make unconditional giving a habit and let this habit lead you to develop an abundance mindset. It is this mindset that will attract wealth and opportunities to you and set you up for financial success.

It is not only money you can give. You can give a smile, a “thank you”, a hug, used clothes, shoes or household items, words of advice and encouragement or you can volunteer an hour of your time for a worthy cause.

Most importantly, remember to do these without expecting anything in return. Do it for the sheer joy of helping humanity. Do it for the helpful experiences you will gain from it. Do it for love.
I am curious: What are your questions, thoughts and opinions on giving? Let’s discuss in the comments below
